Does breast-milk kill cancer cells?
A research in Sweden shows that breast milk might have the ability to fight cancer? The substance Human Alphalactabumin Made Lethal to Tumor Cells (HAMLET) can kill cancer cells in younger children. In other words this substance hamlet can provide lasting protector against tumor development in young children. In the 1980’s research was done and it showed that breast fed children are less likely than formula fed children to develop cancer. This happens because breast milk has many different compounds (like HAMLET) that target cancer cells but leaves healthy cells to grow. A few years ago two colleges in Sweden discovered that HAMLET contains a protein and a fatty acid that contributes to its cancer-fighting effect.
Consuming HAMLET can also have an effect in adults, not just younger children. Recent human trials have shown that males who have bladder-cancer that received injections of HAMLET that is reduced to a tumor size in just a few days. A professor named Karlesson was quoted by a telegraph saying, "the solution killed cancer cells and the size of the tumors actually reduced within five days." She was talking about the solution HAMLET.
A 1994 study was published in the journal Cancer Research, found that the lactoferrin in breast milk stops the growth of tumor is mice. That same year another study published in the journal Medical Hypothesis showed that the fatty acids in breast milk also help stop the growth of cancer. Another study was published in the
U.S. National Library of Medicine shows that HAMLET can kill cancer cells through a process that resembles programmed cell death.
What I don’t understand is if this can really help fight cancer then why haven’t people with cancer been treated with it to help become cancer free? This should be very big on the news and media, then why did I have to do a lot of research to find out about this breast milk killing cancer? Is it possible that the breast milk can fight cancer but hurt a different part of your body? It is reported that HAMLET kills only cancer cells and does not harm healthy cells. This seems like it should be a huge step in the direction of finding a cure for cancer. Laboratory experiments have already shown that HAMLET kills 40 different types of cancer cells. I think more research should be done to determine if it can kill all types of cancer cells.
